03-07-2020 We are all God's People

In our final topic of the Summer we look at The Universal Church, God's People.

  • In a visit to the UK Pope Benedict XVI spoke to all the children in England, Wales and Scotland who go to Catholic Schools.

He said, "I hope that among those of you listening to me today are future saints of the twenty-first century.  Let me explain what I mean. When we are young we can usually think of people we look up to, people we admire, people we want to be like. It could be someone we meet in our daily lives that we hold in great esteem. Or it could be someone famous. My question for you is this: What are the qualities you see in others that you would most like to have yourselves? What kind of person would you really like to be?"

In our lesson today, you are going to read 1 John 3:1−3 , where he tells us 'we are already children of God' and you are going to think  and write about our best qualities.
