Class Worship

The children having been planning and leading their own class worship. They love reading the Gospel and choosing the prayers and hymns that go alongside it.

Our children in Year 3 love planning and leading their own class worship.

The United Kingdom

During the Autumn term Year 3 have been learning all about The United Kingdom. They have learnt about; the geography of the UK, the history of the Union flag, the way of life of the British people and British values, the Royal Family and the National Anthem.

Our amazing art work - we have made the flags of the countries which make up the United Kingdom and the Union flag.

Danish Day

We really enjoyed learning all about the Christmas traditions of Denmark last term. On the last Friday before Christmas we had Danish afternoon in class, where we showcased all of our amazing projects we had been working on at home and tasted some delicious Danish food. Have a look at the Danish Day folder to see what we got up to on our Danish afternoon!

Look at all of our amazing projects and all the delcious food we tried!

Writing for pleasure during our English lessons

We love writing in Year 3. Our learning journey this half term has been 'Stories with familiar settings,' and we've learnt how to use expanded noun phrases, alliterations, similes and dialogue in our stories.

We love writing so much we'll do it anywhere.......even on the sofa and the floor! As long as we're comfy we'll write!

Partitioning in our Maths lessons

We've been using the Base 10 apparatus to help us partition hundreds, tens and ones in different ways.

Sports Blog by Charlie MacDonald

Make sure you follow our very own sports reporter, Charlie Macdonald's blog this half term as he tells you all about what we're doing in PE.

Lights, Camel, Action! It's Strictly The Nativtiy!

We joined Year 4 and Year 5 this year to perform a very different take on the traditional Christmas Nativity story! We had so much fun performing and singing togther!
