On Thursday 14th March we welcomed 'Science Boffins' in to school for a fun and interactive day of science experiments. The children had a wonderful time and a huge thank you to our parents and carers who contributed towards the cost of the day. Reception Class, Years 1 and 2 took part in an experiment involving Plasma Balls and Playful Polymers. The children also had the chance to make their own slime which they got to take home. Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 were Crime Scene Investigators. The children re-enacted a robbery! Lots of stuff was stolen and there was a red substance splattered all over the walls, and fingerprints were left everywhere… The children were part of the crime scene investigation and learned about how to solve a crime by learning about spatter patterns, ink chromatography and fingerprints.
